The Most Important Thing to Alan Quigley

Have you ever been surrounded by people and yet felt all alone? Have you ever gone to a movie or eaten at a restaurant alone? I have! Did you feel like people were wondering what was wrong with you because you were alone? I did! In those times of watching others with meaningful relationships, it made the pain of loneliness seem even worse. I felt like I was going through life all alone and that nobody cared about me.

Then one day I went to a church. Initially, I felt just as odd there as I did anywhere else. I remember sitting in the balcony crying as I asked God to give me one close friend. That day the preacher introduced me to my first true and life-long friend. His name is Jesus. I found out that day that Jesus loved me and wanted to have a personal relationship with me. This proved to be the most important thing that has ever happened to me.

Through my relationship with Jesus I discovered others who would become my friend because of the common friend we have in Jesus. Today, my life is full of meaningful relationships and it's all because of my best friend Jesus.
