The Most Important Thing to Jimmy Kinnaird

7459 hits

Why am I here? What is the purpose of life? These are questions that were echoing over and over again in my mind. I didn't talk about it with anyone, and no one would have thought I was thinking about this. Then came the knock at my door. Little did I know that God was also knocking on the door of my heart.

I answered the door. It was a friend who came by to ask me a very important question. We talked for a while, and then he asked, “Jimmy, do you believe you will go to heaven when you die?” I told him I hoped I would go to heaven. He said, “Why do you think you will go there?” I said something about trying to be a good person, but I knew that was not entirely true. I now realized that I did not have a personal relationship with God. I needed forgiveness and eternal life.

Shortly after this conversation, I discovered how to receive eternal life. It has made all the difference in my life. The questions of “Why I am here?” and “What is the meaning of life?” are answered. This new life has given meaning and purpose to live in this world and hope for the next. This is the most important thing that has ever happened to me.
