The Most Important Thing to Lauren Kinser

I was raised in church, so all my life I'd heard about Jesus and how He died on the cross to save everyone from their sins. But I'd never really experienced Christ's love in a real way. I just knew God was God and was thankful for all He did. I was happy, but never had true joy.

One Sunday night when I was seven as I sat on the church pew, all of the sudden something clicked in my head that the preacher was saying. I don't remember what his sermon was about. I just remember knowing that I needed Jesus and I needed to repent and become clean. So that night I prayed to receive Christ and then I told my parents and they prayed with me too.

Ever since then God has changed me into who I am today and molds me into who He wants me to become. People all around me now see the overwhelming joy I have in Him, and how He's in control of every aspect of my life.
