Bettsy Yarbrough

I grew up in a believing home. I was at the church every moment it was open. When I was 8 years old I became overwhelmed with the idea of who Christ was and what he did. I gave my life to him right then and there. However, life went on and I kind of did my own thing.
When I was 14, I went down to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to help the people rebuild. While there, I was confronted with the extreme darkness of this world. People didn’t have any hope, and here I was with the greatest hope of all, Jesus Christ. All I wanted to do was share that hope with them! I saw people who were desperate for a Savior give their lives to Christ.

From then on I have tried to live my life with the simple truth that the reason I am here is to bring him the glory he deserves and to make him known to everyone I come in contact with. He’s all that matters in this life and he is all I want. When I was 8 I knew I couldn’t live a life without Jesus Christ and I have never been the same since.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
