I grew up in church attending regularly, but there was not a lot of Christian “talk” in my home. We didn’t pray together nor did we read the Bible very much. When I was young I always wanted to do the right thing, but many times I would get angry and irritated at my family and my friends and we were often unkind to one another.
During a revival meeting, our pastor and the evangelist came to my house and talked to me about what it takes to be truly fulfilled. I realized then that what made me feel badly were my sins. I made a life changing decision that day and while I am far from perfect, I am no longer bound by my sin.
My life has not always been where I want it to be, but I have the assurance that I am never alone in my struggles and I know where I will spend eternity. The most important thing that has ever happened to me was the day I knew that God loved me because of the cross.
