Partying on Saturday nights and sleeping late, or pretending to be asleep on Sunday mornings got me out of going to church and Sunday school many a Sunday.
My mother read Bible stories to me before I could read. I was taught that Jesus loves me, but that didn’t make me a Christian.
I was surprised to find out I had to be saved to go to heaven, after all I went to church. After a couple of Sundays, I told the preacher that I wanted to be saved, too.
I grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ at a very young age…
Growing up I was never made to go to church. I was always told there was a God and to go to heaven I had to be good.
I occasionally attended church and Sunday school, but my commitment to a personal relationship with Christ was simply not there.
