It was at this time I ran into some old friends I used to party with. They invited me over for dinner. When they prayed over their food I knew something was different.
On August 10th, I knelt beside my bed and asked God to be the “boss of my life.” I asked Him to lead me from that day forward and to forgive my sins.
It was actually on my way home from one of these parties that God brought to mind just how pointless my life was.
One evening our pastor and his wife stopped by the house while I was out. The pastor told my husband how to have a relationship with Jesus and there in our dining room,
While in jail I came to the realization that my life was a hopeless mess. I understood then that all the free love, sex and drugs came with an enormous cost.
I grew up in a home where God was never discussed nor did we attend church. My parents were not happy with each other and our home reflected their unhappy relationship.
The prayer I said was; I believe with all my heart that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. I asked Him to forgive me, and be my Lord and Savior.
