Christine Clymer

I accepted Christ at the very young age of 5. I had been going to Sunday School and I had been learning about Jesus and hell. I was incredibly confused. One night my parents found me crying in my bed. I explained to them my frustrations. They opened the Bible and showed me many verses on how to become a Christian and how I could personally know this Jesus. They shared with me John 3:16 and the Romans Road. After finally understanding, I simply asked God to come into my heart.

I do not remember much about the time after I accepted Christ. I struggled a lot in middle school with doubts and more confusion. I went to a camp in the summer and I re-dedicated my life, knowing 100 percent that I am a child of God. After that night I was on fire! I truly felt like a Christian. I got more involved in church and in youth group. It was a beautiful time for growing with God and fellow believers. God showed me many things about me that I needed to work on.

I am 20 years old and more on fire for Christ now than ever before. Over the past year my family went through challenging things. My God provided through all of that! His mercies are new every morning! I have never seen God’s faithfulness and sovereignty so real before. I just came out of working at a summer camp where I was stretched physically, mentally, and spiritually. God is calling my heart to missions. He opened my eyes up to so many things this summer. I am continually growing in Christ and I want to grow more!

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
