Debra Stephens

I accepted Christ in an after-school meeting of the “Good News Club” in my hometown. I was in third grade, in a garage, and realized at that moment I am a sinner and without Christ I couldn’t enter heaven. I prayed for forgiveness of my sins and accepted Him. My family didn’t attend church at that time, so I went to a few different churches in town with friends throughout school. After I was married and had two children, God impressed upon me I needed to be in church with my kids.
A key time in my life was during an “Experiencing God” class. I learned that God is always at work in our world and invites me to join him in that work. I learned about the “crisis of belief” that when God speaks to my heart, my response shows what I believe about God.

God sometimes leads me into some uncomfortable situations to share his message with others, but he has never failed to go with me! I’m amazed every day how He takes care of me and my family. A couple of years ago my husband was laid off and decided to start his own business. What could have been a very stressful time in our lives and our marriage became one of the greatest times. My husband accepted Christ and is now attending church with us, after 14 years of prayer. God is faithful!

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
