Jamie Killion

I grew up in a Christian family and we went to church regularly. When I was a grade schooler I went through the motions of giving my life to Christ and I was baptized. But nothing changed in my life. I didn’t sincerely turn my life over to the Lord Jesus.
I continued being involved in the life of our church. I was certainly religious, but God seemed a million miles away from me. There was obvious sin in my life. And my heart was empty. When I was about 15, I began a search for God. I began reading the Bible every night. One night I cried out to God, asking Him to have mercy over my life. I invited Jesus to come in to my life. I gave Him control of my present and my future. I asked Him to wash away my sin.

That night I was truly saved and I received eternal life from the LORD. My life on the inside changed completely. For the first time in my life I knew peace, and I sensed God’s purpose for me. I knew that I had been forgiven. That peace has never left me. And though my relationship with God has sometimes felt like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs, I have learned how to grow daily in this awesome love relationship with my Maker. What an awesome difference Jesus has made in my life.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
