Jana Langley

As a child my family was hit and miss in going to church. My memories are more of going with my grandmother and aunts than with anyone. I remember hearing about Jesus in Bible School and really feeling drawn to Him. I actually was saved during Bible School when I was 12.
After I accepted Christ as Savior, my opportunities to attend church seemed to be less and less. Once I got my drivers license I had a lot of excuses that kept me from church. I recall reading my Bible, searching for answers to issues going on around me and feeling deep conviction. I tried a lot of things that were very worldly only to end up miserable. I finally realized late in my teen years that I had to follow Christ completely or else I would never be happy.

“I tried a lot of things that were very worldly only to end up miserable.”

Even after I allowed Christ to be in control, I still made some pretty stupid mistakes. Thank goodness for forgiveness. It took me until my 30’s to find out what truly following Christ is about. Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. I have a burning desire to follow Jesus and do what is right in His work. I look forward everyday to my time with Him and I know He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
