I grew up in a Christian home and going to church every Sunday. For a long time, going to church was just routine to me, and meant no more than that. I was taught all the Bible stories, but I hadn’t accepted them as truth.
At age 8, at Vacation Bible School, we were presented with the message of Jesus Christ. I had heard it all before, but this time I believed it and wanted to live for Jesus for the rest of my life. They told us to stay seated in our pew if wanted to talk to someone about the decision we made. I stayed seated despite the probing from other children to go with the class. I really didn’t care what they were doing, I knew what I was doing with the rest of my life.
God gave me a peace from the very beginning that He had come into my life and was MY personal savior. I wanted to go tell everyone about how great God was because of what He had done for ME! I continued to grow in my walk with him throughout my childhood, teenage, and college years. There were some rough times, but through every step of the way, I knew that God was with me. He has blessed me in many ways and I thank Him for every part of my life.
