Linda Tharp

I was raised in a Christian home with parents that took me to church. At the age of 16 I went forward to accept Jesus as my Savior; was baptized and joined the Church. I thought I was one of God’s children. I thought I was doing what Jesus wanted me to do, but always felt an emptiness and void I just couldn’t fill. God started telling me I wasn’t His child, but was a lost sinner. I ignored this for months.
One night I had a dream that Jesus returned to earth and He took all my family but left me behind. I started blaming everyone else for me not being saved, but Jesus showed me clearly I was the only one to blame. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior that night and know for certain he changed me and made me the person He wanted me to be.

Since that night Jesus has been my Savior and friend. He has brought me through many troubles. I’ve been on the mountain top with Him and he has walked through the valley with me. I thank God for that and the assurance that I am his child and anything I face He is there to bring me through.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
