My life was always good, but it wasn’t complete. Even though I attended church and believed in God, I didn’t think my life really mattered much to anyone. I often thought that maybe everyone felt that way. I enjoyed my life, but there wasn’t really any distinguishing quality about it that set me apart and made me special. There was just an underlying longing telling me there should be more to living on this earth than what I was experiencing.
One night a pastor said that Jesus loved me so much that He died for me. As the pastor spoke I realized what was missing in my life. It became crystal clear to me that I needed to become a child of God. That is what would make me special. I wanted to belong to Him! That night, I invited Jesus through a prayer to come into my heart and live in me.

My life changed that night. I was overwhelmed by the instant change and desire His presence brought. I desired to give myself wholly to Him. Now my life is complete. He has never left me. If there has ever been any distance between us, it’s because I turned away. He is always there when I turn back to Him. I am safe, loved, and secure in Him. I will be secure and complete for the rest of my life here on earth and after I die when I join Him in heaven.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
