When I was very young, my family took me to church each week. We went every week, but that was all we did. We just went. Every year I went to Vacation Bible School with my best friend. When I was 5 or 6 I asked Jesus into my heart. But I didn’t completely understand what it meant. I just knew that I didn’t want to go to Hell and that Jesus was the answer.
When I was in middle school my parents became more active in church and in ministry. When this happened I spent much more time at church each week. When I was 15 years old I realized that Jesus was in my heart, but that I was not allowing Him to be the Lord of my life. I asked Jesus to be the Lord of my life on Wednesday, April 11, 2001.

From that time on I have lived knowing that Jesus died for me and will take care of me no matter what. He doesn’t give me everything I want and life is not perfect, but He gives me the strength and wisdom to handle the hard times. I know that I have to rely on God to take care of me and His plan is perfect even if I don’t understand.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
