I don’t remember much from when I was young. I know I grew up in church and went to church camp. The one thing I remember most was my parent’s divorce. I was six when they started fighting. My mother left and had little to do with my brother and me. As time went by my mother left for good. After a while my father tried to take his own life, and I had to convince him not to. After that I didn’t go to church much and I resented God for what He did to my family.

I had been saved before at camp once but nothing had changed when I came home. As I got older, I grew further away from God and my small family. I didn’t talk to my family about problems and such. I kept everything bottled up. One day my friend, Taylor invited me to her church lock-in. After that I started going to church there. We planned and went to Ridgecrest. I felt God was speaking straight to me. On March 26, 2011, I rededicated my life to God and I have never felt so great in my life.

I have become closer in my walk with God. I began witnessing to friends the day we got back. I still have struggles, but I’m still growing also. God is showing me His will each day, and I feel God wants me to go far in His works.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
