I assumed that because I went to church every Sunday that I was a Christian, and that because I was a “good” girl that I was a Christian. Therefore, I never had the convictions of a real Christian because as a young person I still enjoyed the things of world. Not drugs and alcohol, but a mindset, a way of thinking.
When I actually met Jesus it was during a revival at my church. I don’t remember the speakers name, but I do remember the song, “There’s a Sweet Sweet Spirit in this Place, and I Know That It’s the Spirit of the Lord…..” being played at invitation. At the young age of 14 my heart literally broke in two and I repented of every sin that a “good girl” could have had and asked Jesus to come into my life as my personal Lord and Savior.

After high school I fell into the temptations of the world because I didn’t have a “firm foundation” of my faith, and so I chose to live the way in the world. But since I came back to God 16 years ago I have been LIVING for Him, which means that I have become a “real person in Christ” with every fiber of my being, and trying to the best of my ability to live according to His will. My life is so blessedly sweet because of Jesus. 🙂

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
