Life was good. I had been married eight years, had a wonderful husband, good job, two daughters and all the things that money (the little we had) could buy. My husband was in the Air Force and we were stationed in Tucson, AZ. We had just moved into base housing when our neighbor came carrying cupcakes and an invitation to church. My husband sent me and our girls first because he didn’t think he needed church.
Well, one evening our pastor and his wife stopped by the house while I was out. The pastor told my husband how to have a relationship with Jesus and there in our dining room, my husband invited Christ into his life. I did not believe him when he told me. It was then he shared with me how I could have that same relationship with Jesus and I too invited Christ into my life.
Life is good, but in a different way. We realize that the most important thing in our lives is our relationship with Christ. In 1989 I surrendered my life to fulltime Christian ministry. I experience a joy and peace beyond description as I face the curves that life throws. I know that I have the security of knowing that when I leave this earth, I will spend eternity in heaven. Now I get excited when I tell others about how to experience the most important thing in their lives.
