Having lost both parents by age eight, I was put into an orphanage. I attended church each Sunday but I did not have a personal relationship with Christ and had no peace or assurance that my sins were forgiven and that I would go to heaven when I died. I felt my life was really missing something. I had no inner peace and assurance of heave after this life.
I came to realize that it was not a “what” that I was missing but “Whom” I was missing. It was Jesus Christ. At age sixteen, I was invited to a church that had a group from a Bible College singing and ministering the Word of God. That night I admitted my sinful condition and received the risen Christ into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior.
God has blessed me in so many ways; it is difficult to know where to start. The year after I became a Christian I attended the Bible College that ministered in the church the night I was saved. In my senior year there, I met Louise. We married later. I went on to receive my M. Div and D. Min degrees. We have served the Lord in ministry for all of our married lives. God has given us children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. God has been so good and we love Him.
