I grew up going to church every Sunday. When I was 10, I went to church camp where a preacher was telling everyone they would go to hell without Jesus. I went forward with all my friends because I was afraid of going to hell. When we got home, we were all baptized. When I was 12, I began to drink. By the time I was 14, I was using drugs. From there my life went crazy. I did drugs, drank, gambled, was involved in pornography and selling drugs. I got into fights and was arrested several times.
By the time I was 30 years old, I was married and had a family. I worked with a Christian man. He invited me to go to church with him. The preacher asked if we died that night did we know if we would go to heaven. I knew that I would not. Even with being baptized and coming forward as a child, I did not know Jesus personally in my heart. That night Jesus radically changed my life! I asked for forgiveness and turned from my sins and made a commitment to follow Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Since that night, I have had some hard times. Jesus has blessed me with a wonderful Christian wife and family. When I go through trials, Jesus is always with me. I have been sober for 15 years. I tell of His love as often as I can and spend time with Him daily. One day I will get to meet Jesus face to face. Check out the link to see what the most important thing really is!
