Tommy Waltz

I grew up in a family with no religious back ground. We never went a church service. The only experience I had in a church as a young boy were weddings and funerals. When I was older, a friend invited me to a youth gathering every Wednesday, yet no one ever shared what Jesus did on the Cross. In my teenage years I became very selfish, prideful and depressed due to the life style of playing in a rock band. I thought life revolved around me and my wants.

I went to a play on the life of Jesus. It explained His life from birth to the resurrection. I didn’t give my life to Christ that night but I ran for a year. I got so depressed due to the lifestyle I was living that I was on the verge of taking my life; however, through God’s grace He spared my life. The night I was going to take my life I received a card in my room from a person that reminded me of Jesus’ love for me. I was broken and repentant.

I share the true Jesus. No one ever told me as a young boy about Jesus, so I want to spend the rest of my life telling everyone I can about the forgiveness found in Jesus. How have I sinned you may ask? Have you ever taken Gods name in vain? Have you ever looked with lust? Then you have sinned and you are not good compared to Gods’ standard of Holiness. That is why Jesus bore the weight of your sins on the cross and said it is finished now you must repent and believe.

There’s more to life than breathing and feeling – Real life is only found in Jesus Christ.
